Terms of service - Tutoring

1. Introduction
Welcome to Bridge Educational Consulting. By scheduling and participating in tutoring services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms of Service. These terms are designed to ensure clarity, consistency, and mutual respect between the tutor and client.
2. Services
Bridge Educational Consulting provides individualized, after-school tutoring sessions designed to support academic progress and build foundational skills. All clients are required to review, sign, and submit a tutoring contract prior to the start of services.
Please note: Due to full-time professional commitments, tutoring sessions are offered exclusively during after-school hours.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate and up-to-date information about the student’s educational needs and any relevant documents.
Communicate promptly regarding scheduling, attendance, and progress updates.
Ensure the student is prepared and present at the scheduled session time.
Maintain a respectful and professional relationship with the tutor at all times.
Failure to provide required information, respond to communications, or uphold attendance expectations may result in suspension or termination of services.
4. Fees and Payments
Payment and a signed contract are required before tutoring services begin. All sessions must be prepaid according to the current rate stated in the service agreement. Tutoring sessions cannot be held without payment confirmation. Invoices are sent electronically and must be completed by the stated due date to confirm upcoming sessions.
5. Confidentiality
Bridge Educational Consulting maintains strict confidentiality regarding all client and student information. Documents, notes, and communications are securely stored and will be permanently deleted upon completion or termination of services. Information will never be shared with outside parties without written consent, except when required by law.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients must give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. If a session is rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, a rescheduling fee equal to 25% of the total session cost will apply. Cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee, while no-shows or cancellations with 12 hours will forfeit the full session cost. Rescheduling or cancellation fees may be waived in the event of an emergency, at the provider’s discretion.
7. Limitation of Liability
Clients acknowledge that while Bridge Educational Consulting provides professional and research-based tutoring services, specific academic outcomes or performance gains cannot be guaranteed. The provider’s role is to support and enhance the student’s learning process to the best of their professional ability. The maximum liability of Bridge Educational Consulting for any claim related to this Agreement or services provided shall not exceed the total cost of services paid by the client.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Texas.
